COMMENTS
Just bought, needs complete refit, ongoing
project, part of my mid-life crisis.
The first job is to move it to a place where I can work
on it, then to strip out the rear cockpit and cabin of all the bad wood, some
is water damaged and there is evidence of the dreaded woodworm so best to get
rid, structurally she's pretty sound, the exterior is pretty cosmetic but will
need a new screen, paint, windows sorting and trim, have already designed the
new wiring system for the whole boat including a split charge system between
the two batteries, its a long term project so am under no illusions as to
what's involved or the time it will take.
Will send more pics as and when work is underway and
throughout the rebuild process.
Long term the plan is to have her moored in Devon and
have got my name down for a deep water mooring, being pulled out in the winter
months for cleaning and antifouling
Just wanted to show you the progress so far, as you
can see its now housed in a purpose made shelter, the interior was worse
than I originally thought so it goes to show that no matter how well you
look you don't know what your into until you start digging, I've had to
strip it all out so am starting with a blank canvas.
Hull is prepped and painted inside am waiting for the
temp to rise for finishing off the painting of the roof then to work on the
flooring and bulkhead
